Jen Whitmore emerged on the buffalo scene as a singer/songwriter in the summer of 2009 when she was nudged to perform at the legendary Monday Nietzsche’s open mic. Her siren sound is one to be reckoned with; warm and vibrant with tones of pure, raw emotion. Her writing style, although simple at times, rings loud and clear- the truths that she tells.
Now planted 500 miles from her hometown, she seeks to bring to New England that Buffalo Gal style she hopes you’ll hear and love.
“Jen Whitmore writes and performs acoustic folk music with a twist. Underneath her intricate rhythms and haunting lines, songs are at times deeply felt, often playful, and always original. Her melodies can be jangly and aggressive, while other times dreamlike and mysterious, with a voice so rich it moves the soul.” ~ Ian Scott Todd
